Solar Impact is grateful to have worked with many businesses over the years in exploring their solar energy options and getting creative to give each business the best return on investment that we can manage. A little known but incredibly helpful program is the USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), created to help rural businesses gain access to clean energy. REAP offers a grant valued at 25% of the cost of the solar energy system.
As of 2020, we have a 100% REAP success rate for customers who go solar with Solar Impact. The number of businesses we have been able to help switch to renewable energy spreads the breadth of agricultural farms to Hardware stores and many more across North Central Florida. We are happy to run the numbers for your Florida rural business and see if you are eligible for the REAP Grant. Also, you could combine REAP with other solar incentives and 2020 is the last year for the 26% federal investment tax credit.
When to apply for REAP
The next date to apply for the REAP Grant is April 1. If you are considering a commercial solar project in 2020, now is the time to apply for the grant and reap the benefits of solar.
