Who We Are:

Solar Impact is a locally owned and operated provider of solar PV systems throughout the state of Florida. We have been in business since 2007 and have designed, engineered, and installed hundreds of PV systems for our commercial, residential, and municipal customers. We are currently in the process of converting our company to an employee owned worker cooperative and certified B-Corp. It is our intention to hire other like-minded individuals that share our excitement for employee ownership, open book management, and democratic decision making.

Job Summary:

We are looking to add an Accounting Manager to our passionate and experienced office team. Ideal candidates for this role will have previous construction accounting experience and have a strong proficiency with QuickBooks accounting.  Primary job duties include: processing of AP and AR transactions, preparing and analyzing financial data to support strategic and operational decisions within a cooperative structure, and collaborate with third party CPA firm for payroll processing and tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to day accounting operations
  • Create and manage electronic invoicing process
  • Collaborate with Operations staff to track job costing on each installation project
  • Develop and manage cash flow projection tools
  • Manage various lines of credit through banking and vendor relationships
  • Develop and oversee financial transaction processes
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for ownership team
  • Assist in special projects as requested


  • 5+ years of construction accounting strongly desired
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Must be an excellent written and verbal communicator
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be willing to bounce between low level administrative tasks as well as executive level reporting/analytics
  • Work well in a team environment where collaboration and feedback are encouraged
